A few months ago, I published a post about my favourite quotes. I thought of writing another one again as many of us are still struggling with the hard times. Over the months, I have started collecting new quotes (as it is an ongoing process for me) and I thought that it would be a good time to read some of them and get some motivation in these dark and unprecedented moments.
So, here are my top 10 quotes for the time being:
- “Sweet are the uses of adversity, which, like the toad, ugly and venomous, wears yet a precious jewel in his head.” - William Shakespeare, As You Like It
- “Depth answers only to depth.” - Charles Dickens, Hard Times
- “Be a minimalist to become an essentialist.” - Keaton Walker
- “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” - JK Rowling, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
- “Raw talent is a myth. What’s real is curiosity, drive, and mindset.”
- “Don’t let the fear of doing the wrong thing prevent you from doing anything.” - Matt D’Avella
- “Focus on signal over noise. Don’t waste time on stuff that doesn’t actually make things better.” - Elon Musk
- “The grass is greener where you water it.” - Ali Abdaal
- “Your goals should not be your weight.” - Clive Weitzman
- “Be so good that you don’t have to worry about the algorithm.” - Matt D’Avella
I love this post, by the rest of them, it doesnt surprise me that you keep a list of your favorite quotes.

I love the Elon Musk one! I feel like we sometimes waste so much energy on the wrong stuff rather than focusing on what we need to.
